Septic isn’t just something I do.. It’s what I was raised in.

The Fortunato name has been in the septic industry since 1953, when my grandfather founded Michael J. Fortunato’s Septic Service in Staten Island, New York. Built on hard work, reputation, and doing things the right way, the company earned trust the old-fashioned way through reliability, honesty, and word-of-mouth. And it’s still operating today.

I grew up around trucks, tanks, excavation sites, and service calls. I saw firsthand what it takes to build a company that lasts for generations. Early mornings. Long days. Tough jobs. No excuses.

While Fortunato Septic Services is a completely separate company, it carries the same work ethic and principles that started back in 1953:

After being around septic my entire life, starting my own company wasn’t just a business decision; it was a continuation of what I’ve known since I was young.

Today, we combine that generational knowledge with modern equipment and full in-house capabilities. From pumping and repairs to full system installations and excavation, we handle every phase ourselves. No subcontractors. No finger-pointing. One call covers it all.

The Fortunato name has stood for septic service for over 70 years.

Now, I’m proud to carry that legacy forward in my own way.
